Kampala — THE Education Funding Agencies Group (EFAG) last week urged government not to compromise the quality of education in the interest of increasing the student population in schools.
The donors said that the Ministry of Education and Sports had met most of the education targets, mainly increased access to education and implementation of the Universal Secondary Education.
They, however, raised concern that the large number of students and pupils in schools may affect the quality of education.
The Irish ambassador, Kevin Kelly, told the donors and other education stakeholders attending a three day education sector review conference at Hotel Africana in Kampala, that the ministry had made "notable developments in delivering quality education."
