Kampala — CENTENARY Bank and Jomayi Property Consultants have signed a Memorandum to enable customers acquire land.
"The partnership will allow customers and the public acquire collaterised land using a loan from the bank," the CERUDEB general manager in charge of business development, Sylivia Zizinga, said.
She said the bank would not limit the amount of money a person can borrow.
"The loan will be determined by the value of the property and the borrower's net cash flow.
"They will be repayable within three year," Zzizinga said.
She said the initiative was aimed at promoting and enhancing development and investment.
"We want to provide financial services to help people change their living standards," she said.
Zzizinga added that other initiavtives to promote development were in the pipeline.
Centenary Bank targets the unbanked people especially those in the rural areas.

Zizinga added that the bank would valuation services of the properties before lands the customers intend to purchase from Jomayi.
She said, "The bank's valuer will value the land and advise a certified fair market value.
Zizinga also pointed out that the bank is working inline with its objective of promoting and enhancing development in Uganda through provision of loans to our customers.
"We are working inline with our mission statement which is to provide appropriate financial services especially microfinance, to all people in Uganda particularly in the rural areas in a suitable manner and in accordance with the law," Zizinga added.
She added that advice and more information can be acquired from the thirty networked branches countrywide.
