Lyon coach Claude Puel says Ghanaian international John Mensah is making good progress from injury and expects the defender to return to action soon.
Puel has been without the defender for a month after a groin injury but had the defender back in training earlier this week.
"John is back in training a little earlier which is great news," Puel said.
"We are happy with his progress and that owes a lot to his professionalism and hard work."
Lyon signed the highly rated Ghanaian in the summer from Lyon but he has made just four appearances in the French league as a result of the recurring injury.
