Lubango — The Angolan singer and songwriter, Margareth do Rosário, praised last Tuesday in Lubango City, southern Huíla Province, the evolution of national female music and the affirmation that Angolan female artists got in the last 33 years.
Speaking to ANGOP, the singer who was in Lubango City to present her recent album entitled "Em nova dimensão" (On a new dimension) said that Angolan music made by women has evolved a lot compared to the music that was made before independence, despite the role that music played in the liberation struggle.
To her, the female music in the country has developed considerably and it is noted in this art the valorisation of cultural aspects of the Angolan people.
The musician seized the occasion to exalt the affection of the Angolan consumers of female music, for they are also promoters of national culture.
Margareth do Rosário thanked the efforts of the Ministry of Culture for the deeds in diffusing music in general, having advised other institutions and businesspeople to help female singers to record their albums, so they can defend the Angolan art and also be known in the
