Uganda: Eight Evicted, One More Till Finale on November 23

opinion

Kampala — Remember how Tawana backstabbed Morris by nominating him, yet the poor Ugandan had always provided a shoulder for her to cry on whenever her personality issues caught up with her?

Remember how she pretended to like Morris so much that our boy did not see her nominating him and so did not nominate her as well? Remember how, on the day Morris got evicted, Tawana pretended to help plait his hair, yet she was preparing him for the eviction she caused?

Well, it turns out Munya just did the same to her in Monday night's nominations. See, Munya and Ricco had earlier sworn never to nominate each other. But Munya had gone ahead and nominated Ricco, enlisting him on the possible evictees' line-up together with Hazel. And with Ricco on that list, it meant Hazel would go.

Fingers crossed, I prayed and fasted to it that Munya uses his powers as head of house to save one of the nominees and replace them with Tawana.

And thank God the Zimbabwean did just that - making amends by saving Ricco whom he had earlier backstabbed, and replacing him with Tawana. Now on the dreaded list are Hazel and Tawana. By now you know the one we hate, don't you?

Horny Tawana will be shocked on Sunday when Munya reveals that despite the sex sprees he and the Bots have been involved in, he still put her on the chopping board.

I promised you that she would not get away with causing Morris' eviction. Let's all hammer the nail onto her head by showing her the exit. Type 'Vote Tawana' and send the message to 6626 across all networks. Morris too is voting her out, so you are not alone.

Meanwhile, South Africa's Thami got his long-awaited boot on Sunday as the eighth evictee after Latoya, Lucille, Uti, Sheila, Mimi, Tk and Morris.

I am thinking his eviction has been long overdue - how dare he throw away about 10kg of meat yet there are millions of people out there going without food? This is the same sadist who put either too much salt in housemates' food, or too much gravy to make the sauce tasteless. Reason: because Big Brother was punishing him for throwing away the meat.

Now, why would anyone want to sit before their television set and get subjected to hours of watching such a guy? How could seven discerning people have got evicted and left this loser in the house? It is funny how this game unfolds.

But as it turned out on Sunday, at least Africa finally saw through his cracks.

Of the 11 countries represented in the M-Net reality show, 11 voted that Thami be evicted, except South Africa, his own country, which voted against Hazel with whom Thami was on the possible evictees' list.

The rest of Africa, which comprises a block vote by other African countries not represented on the show, also voted against Hazel. Not that it mattered; after all she survived eviction and increased her chance of flying back to Malawi with the staked jackpot of $100,000 (about sh200m).

And now that she is on the possible evictees' list with Tawana, who is not a favourite to many, I see Hazel on the list of the top three with Munya and Ricco. And it is evident more than ever that Ricco might win Biggie's jackpot.
