Uganda: DHL to Fly in Marathon Equipment, Uhuru to Provide Refreshments

Kampala — COURIER company DHL has joined the list of MTN Kampala International Marathon sponsors after they offered to fly in the timing chips and kits for the event.

MTN Publicist Sheila Kangwagye yesterday said that DHL will meet all the costs of flying in and out the chips from South Africabased company

Championship. DHL will also cater for the travel expenses of the experts that will manage the electronic gadgets as part of their sponsorship. They will also fly in vests and bags for the competitors.

"That is part of their sponsorship package to the MTN marathon," said Kangwagye ahead of the annual event on November 23.

She also said that Uhuru Restaurant will offer refreshments for the participants. The event has attracted over 35 elite runners from the East Africa region.
