Ghana: Towards Peaceful Elections, Asa B Tells Media To Tone Down

The national call for peace before, during and after the December received yet more urgency yesterday when the Minister of Information Mr. Stephen Asamoah Boateng took time to address the nation on the government's position regarding factors that would enhance a peaceful atmosphere during the polls.

The Minister first touched on the role of the media in Ghana in promoting peaceful elections after which he addressed the responsibility of political leaders and concluded with a call on Ghanaians to join the government in the collective effort of moving Ghana forward in achieving long-lasting peace and prosperity.
