Angola: 1º De Agosto Win Wlademiro Romero Super Cup

Luanda — The Angolan senior males basketball team of 1º de Agosto won last Tuesday in Luanda's Cidadela pavilion their first trophy of the 2008/09 season, by beating Atlético Sport Aviação (ASA) by 86-70 for the Angola Super Cup competition, dubbed Wlademiro Romero.

1º de Agosto were already winning the match by the end of the first half by 46-30.

With 20 points, Filipe Abraão from ASA was the best scorer of the match, Kikas Gomes and Olímpio Cipriano scored 18 and 17 points respectively.

Therefore, 1º de Agosto conquered their first trophy for this season and they still have to dispute the national championship and the Angolan league cup.
