Bafana Bafana has climbed five places in the latest Fifa World Rankings that were released today. The South Africans are now ranked 80th.
Cameroon continue to dominate the Africa contingent. The Indomitable Lions are on 14th position this month, down two from their last ranking.
Egypt and Nigeria are on 21 and 22 respectively; the Pharaohs are up one slot while the Super Eagles have climbed five places.
Ghana are in 26th place and Ivory Coast 28th. The Black Stars are down one and the Ivorians up one.
Other African nations ahead of Bafana are Guinea 39th (+2), Morocco 43 (unchanged), Tunisia 47 (unchanged), Mali 49 (+4), Senegal 51 (-2).
Gabon on 59 moved up 8 places, while Burkina Faso 61 was up two.
Algeria dropped 7 places and are now 63rd, Angola 68 (unchanged) Congo 69th (down 12 places) and Zambia 71st (down one).
