Kampala — RTI International wants bids for provision of transport for spray operators in Kitgum and Pader districts.
RTI is engaged in indoor residual spraying for malarial control and prevention on behalf of the health ministry.
"Bidders must have 20 (30- seater buses) and five four-tonne trucks. They must have a valid passenger vehicle insurance policy and licences. They must have contracted similar work and should have three referees," an advertisement specifies.
Bid documents can be got from Kisozi House on Kyaggwe Road or the RTI Gulu zonal office. They must be delivered by November 14 to Kisozi House.
Malaria is among the major causes of death and illnesses in the country. However, the decision to spray DDT, has been opposed by exporters.
