Angola: Ingombota Administration Invests in Domiciliary Health

Luanda — The implementation of domiciliary medical care is one of the main purposes of the administrative authorities of Luanda's Ingombota district for 2009.

This was said Wednesday to Angop by local administrator, Suzana Augusto de Melo.

According to the source, the programme is intended to improve the health services in the community, especially on the outskirts where most cases of cholera, malaria and Hiv/Aids are recorded.

The programme has also the purpose of sensitising the population on the need to join the vaccination programmes, mainly for children and pregnant women.

Ingombota district, with about 600,000 inhabitants, comprises the communes of Maculusso, Ilha do Cabo, Kinanga and Patrice Lumumba.
