Eritrea: Nationals Residing in Botswana Conduct Seminar On Objective Situation in the Homeland

Asmara — Eritrean nationals residing in Botswana conducted a seminar on November 8 in Gaborone city focusing on the objective situation in the Homeland.

The seminar characterized with patriotic zeal was aimed at strengthening the organizational capacity of the Eritrean Community and enhancing the participation of nationals in the implementation of development programs in the Homeland.

In briefings he gave to the participants, the Eritrean Charge D'Affaires in South Africa, Mr. Tewolde Mihreteab, indicated that Eritrea is standing on solid ground and a promising future lies ahead. He further pointed out that the Eritrean government's vision is to build a prosperous and strong nation in which citizens benefit from equitable allocation of resources.

Noting that the efforts being exerted to promote national reconstruction and development are bearing fruitful outcome, Mr. Tewolde called on Eritrean citizens living abroad to reinforce national unity and step up contribution to the development drive.

The chairman of Hizbawi Mekete in the southern African region, Eng. Tsegai Elias, asserted that the nationals would enhance their contribution through reinforcing national unity. Stating that they are closing following up the implementation of development programs in the Homeland, the Eritrean nationals residing in Botswana pledged to enhance their contribution in support of the development drive.
