Namibia: Foundation Raises Money With Projects

13 November 2008

The Christina Swart-Opperman AIDS Orphan Foundation Trust has as its vision to contribute towards social reform in the country with specific objectives to improve the quality of life of children orphaned by AIDS.

"The Trust, launched in 2003, participates in programmes dealing in education, care and feeding schemes, prevention and psycho-social support in all the regions of the country," reemphasized Christina Swart-Opperman last week at a fundraising breakfast under the title 'China's Game: The Dragon in Africa'.

According to her, the Trust raises funds by soliciting the business community to fund projects as part of their corporate social investment and through fundraising projects.

A total of 1008 learners at various schools will benefit from monies raised through the dragon project.
