ECOBANK's Wilkinson Road branch manager Saturday said her institution was reaching out to the communities where the bank operates.
Zyna Cole told journalists on a conductor tour of some of the bank's branches in the Western Area that offer a wide range of products to customers in a bid to meet international banking procedures.
She said the bank caters for customers within Hill Cot Road, Lumley Aberdeen, Murray Town, Spur Road and Wilberforce adding that their outreach team encourages residents in these localities to open accounts with ECOBANK as the bank is a Pan African financial institution.
"The outreach team goes to these communities to educate the people about the products ECOBANK offers. We also target traders and market women. There is a microfinance unit, which deals set of business people," she said.
Cole opined that the bank's ATM system allows their clients to access their money in country Africa where the bank operates.
She said the marketing department handles credit facilities and cited the bulk room where all large deposited took place.
Alie Mohamed Sillah, branch manager of Cline Town said it was their customers that encouraged them to open an outlet on Shell New Road.
Sillah who also over sees the branch on Shell New Road said the subdivision was opened three weeks after the location was identified.
"We also operate the western union money transfer system. 174 customers have so far open accounts at our new branch office. At least 15 open accounts with us on a daily basis. We also looking at the possible to commence Sunday banking in the country," he said.
