Uganda: 'Don't Borrow Euro15 Million From Spain'

Kampala — Government has withdrawn its intention to borrow 15 million Euros from Spain.

The State minister for finance in charge of Privatization, Rukia Chekamondo yesterday told parliament that government withdrew following stringent conditions attached to the loan.

According to the minister, the loan was expected to help in the acquisition of a national radar system, for Entebbe international airport.

Government had earlier asked for a resolution of parliament to borrow the money.
