Sierra Leone's national security council, the highest forum for the consideration of all matters of national security, is planning to meet with President Koroma at platinum level and to look at the ongoing exercise of the country's security architecture.
At a state house press conference Wednesday, it came out clearly that the five-day forum, which starts on Monday November 17, would also identify procedures for responding to emergencies as and when they do emerge within the context of country's national and human security.
A member of the exercise planning committee Ahmed Sannoh told journalists that the scenarios of the exercise were set in the future.
"This would involve the sub committees of the national security coordinating group to focus on the security architecture's response and resolution of social, economic, political problems."
Most importantly according to Larry Bassy, chief of staff in the office of national security, "external issues that may also affect the wellbeing of Sierra Leone and its people will also be simulated."
However, the exercise does not seek to test individuals or specific appointment holders. It meant to put to test the understanding and implementation of departmental processes in an effort to improve on their security delivery skills.
