Angola: Vietnam Interested in Co-Operating in Industry, Food Production

Luanda — The Vietnamese extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to Angola, Nguyen Dinh, expressed this Thursday, in Luanda, the interest of his country in expanding the co-operation with Angola in the domains of trade, crude-oil, civil engineering, industry and agriculture.

The diplomat spoke to the press at the end of an audience granted to him by the Angolan Prime Minister, António Paulo Kassoma, which served to present farewell greetings after a mission of about three years in Angola.

The ambassador pointed out agriculture as the main priority for the future co-operation, with highlight to the production of rice, taking advantage from the experience of his country and the Angolan potential in terms of rivers and extensive arable lands.

The official said that in 33 years of cooperation, he feels that other areas can be explored to contribute to the efforts for the country's development.

The ambassador said that in three years of diplomatic mission he could see a successful implementation of the national reconstruction programme.

The diplomat expressed his confidence in a good performance of the new government of Angola, though expecting that it achieves development and provides better living conditions to the population.

He revealed that about 350 Vietnamese physicians and teachers work in Angola.
