Akure — The Progressives Coalition a body of all existing opposition parties in Ondo State weekend says it welcomes with joy the judgment of the Appeal Court Tribunal affirming the earlier judgment of the Edo State Elections Tribunal, which declared the Comrade Adams Oshiomole of the AC as the duly elected governor of Edo State.

According to the coalition in a statement in Akure "this positive development that will certainly be replicated in Ondo State.

The statement signed by Hon Bola Ilori the director media and research and former Senatrial candidate of the AC in Ondo Central senatorial District said that "Our joy knew no bound as that unanimous decision was delivered and we believe that sound judgment equally justifies an earlier sound judgment that was delivered by the Edo State Tribunal but which affirmed Oshiomhole's stolen mandate.

"We join millions of Nigerians and several millions of others all over the world to laud this judgment and state that it portends something good for Nigeria¢s bashed and devalued democracy.

"Above all, it serves as enough warning to the pretenders in Ondo, whose sham victory has been voided similarly by the Ondo State Tribunal that they should prepare to vacate the seat they stole from Ondo people in April 2007.

"Oshiomhole's victory serves as a tonic needed by Nigerians who were the primary victims of the callous rape of democracy witnessed in April 2007 by the PDP in concert with INEC.

"It is a vista of hope to those who are still struggling to retrieve their stolen mandates from the various tribunals and an assurance that all is not lost with Nigeria, even as the forces of darkness grow increasingly audacious by the day.

"Oshiomole's victory signposts an end to the era of darkness and decay, which the electoral robbery of 2007 imposed on Nigeria.
