Kampala — STANBIC Bank and Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) have joined other firms in support of the MTN international marathon due next Sunday.
Stanbic's support is in form of sh4.82 cheque handed over by the communication manager Daniel Nsibambi to MTN's corporate affairs manager Halima Besisira this week. UWA offered Sh1.5m for the annual race.
At the same time, the race participants started getting their running kits on Friday.
Over 10,000 runners will take part in the full marathon, half marathon and 10km events. Proceeds from the race will go to charity causes.
