Nigeria: Anambra Varsity Honours Sultan

Awka — The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Saad Abubakar 111 is among seven prominent Nigerians to be awarded honorary doctorate degrees at the second convocation ceremony of Anambra State University coming up on Thursday.

Others are the Obi of Onitsha and chairman of the state council of traditional rulers, Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe, a renowned mathematician and former vice chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Professor J.O.C.Ezeilo, businessman and one of the founding fathers of the university, Dr. Ambrose Orjiakor, chairman of Fidelity Bank Plc, Chief Christopher Eze, managing director of Young Shall Grow Motors, Chief Vincent Obianodo and managing director of May and Baker Plc, Dr. Ikem Odumodu.
