Nigeria: LG, Nestle Promo Targeted at Consumers Health- LG Boss

With high atmospheric condition in sub-saharan Africa occasioned by the depleting of the ozone layer sublimed by high degree of death as a result of environmental hazards, particularly in Nigeria, LG Electronics Nigeria, makers of Neo plasma air-conditioner, in a drive to stem the trend in collaboration with Nestle Nigeria Plc had instituted a campaign tagged LG, Nestle good life promo where penultimate week final winners were rewarded.

The Neo plasma air-conditioners which has a feature of 12-step filter system that sterilizes and purifies the air removing micro-organisms and dust, delivering clean, fresh and purified air to users which helps to fight environmental hazards was the star prize of the promo.

Meanwhile, Nestle Pure Life table water, which consumers had to purchase to participate in the promo, is produced with the latest state-of-the-art technology and offers consumers an ideal balance of safe, clean, healthy and a pleasant refreshing drinking water.

Accordingly, the joint promo was forged with consumers in mind to foster good life through two of natures most prized elements- air and water- since life does not exist without both.

Globally, however, health is a very important issue, most especially as a result of urbanisation and industrialisation. For these reasons, billion of dollars are spent on researches to find cures for diseases.

On the other hand, families also spend millions on hospital bill for reasons of contaminated air and water. Mr Tyson Jo, Assistant General Manager, Air-conditioner Division, LG Nigeria, said the company through the promo was introducing to the public the Neo plasma air-conditioner which, he said, had 12-step filter system that sterilizes and purifies the air removing micro-organisms and dust delivering clean, fresh and purified air, killing bacteria and removing allergies and particles thus ensuring consumers breathe in clean, fresh air.

At third draws, Peter Ko, General Manager, Air-conditioner, West Africa Operations, said the promo was necessary because the company believed that customers deserve nothing-less than a good life.

The Neo plasma air-conditioner, he observed, was designed to deliver to customers good life, "for us, the good life promo is a perfect conjugation between two great products that talk about health. The promo demonstrates the company's deep seated believe in a good life for the consumer."

Mr. Emmanuel Olu-Ayeni, the Country Business Manager, Water, Nestle Nigeria said it had been a wonderful experience running the Good Life promo. Consumers' response was incredibly overwhelming. We are truly encouraged by that. We are also encouraged by the supports we got from all other stakeholders especially the Consumer Protection Council (C.P.C.) and Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON).
