Somalia: MPs Hold Emergency Meeting in Baidoa

Mogadishu — As the differences between the president and the prime minister of the transitional government are unsolved the legislative body members based in the southwestern of Baidoa are holding an urgent meeting Monday accusing the president of causing the latest disagreements.

Although its unknown the schedule of meeting but sources close to the small number of the MPs holding the meeting say that they would discuss on the latest spars between the two top government leaders of the president and the premier.

Somali MP Ibrahim Isaq Yarow has described the presidents remarks on the government as illegitimate.

With authorization no outcome from meeting held by incomplete quorum MPs cannot come to effect as the MPs holding the meeting is too less MPs according to the number of the governments MPs.

The MPs have been summoned to come to the meeting by the speaker of the parliament Sheikh Aden Madobe although weve not managed to talk to him by phone on the meeting.
