Kampala — PRESIDENT Yoweri Museveni has attacked Busiro East MP Susan Nakawuki (FDC) as a young and inexperienced politician who cannot effectively represent her electorate in the Parliament.
Museveni was campaigning for the NRM candidate in the Kyaddondo North by-election, Robert Kasule Ssebunya, in Gombe - Wakiso district on Tuesday.
He said Nakawuki belonged to a "bad (political) clan."
Museveni said Kasule belongs to a good clan, NRM, which liberated the country from killers through blood and sacrifice.
"We won the most difficult wars; with guns through blood, tears and sacrifice. The contest for ballots cannot split the Movement," he said, urging every supporter to rally behind Kasule.
The President said he learnt of Nakawuki's representation of Busiro East in the Parliament when he was travelling to Buloba on Mityana Road to tour GMO science laboratories and stopped over in Kiwumu village near Bulenga.
"I asked the villagers if they have ever heard of NAADS and they replied, 'No'. I asked them 'who is your Member of Parliament?' They answered, 'Nakawuki'. I asked further, 'that young girl of FDC?' and upon confirmation, I told them, 'you deserve it," Museveni, speaking in Luganda, said.
"A person who does not know what to do can be advised when he belongs to the right group," he observed.
"Ekyokusooka kaana kato, tekamanyi kyakukola ate kali mu kibiina kibi (she is young, does not know what to do and belongs to a wrong political party)," the President stated.
Nakawuki defeated NRM's Mike Ssebalu, who was the incumbent, in the 2006 parliamentary polls.
The President also lashed out at FM radio stations for unfairly criticising the Government.
