Arusha — An American non governmental organization, Engenderhealth has pledged continued support to its Tanzania health programs under a project known as ACQUIRE covering Kilimanjaro, Manyara, Tanga, Dodoma and Singida regions.

The NGO's vice president Isaiah Ndong' made the pledge when he was on the inspection tour of the projects of Ngarenaro Child and Maternal Clinic, Arumeru District Hospital and Usa River Health Centre.

Mr. Ndong' said his organization was satisfied on the good delivery of services to the people targeted by the program.

The vice president called on men to support their wives during the pregnancy period by performing domestic chores and even escort them when they attend maternity clinics.

The Arumeru District Medical Officer Aziz Msuya commended and thanked Engenderhealth for its support and called on them to go on helping the needy people in Tanzania as their support is highly appreciated.

The NGO aims at supporting family planning programmes, free maternal clinics and free delivery service to ensure infant protection from contracting HIV.
