Lagos — In order to give a new interpretation to his tourism and entertainment dreams, Dr. Obiora Okonkwo, the man behind The Dome-the multi-faceted complex in Abuja has set new targets for himself and his team.
What they have purposed to do in their hearts is to create replicas of the popular Abuja facility.
A time frame of two years has been set within which, The Dome will recreate itself in each of the six geo-political zones in the country.
After establishing these satellite branches, Okonkwo has his eyes set on the Nigerian Stock Exchange and plans to have The Dome Entertainment listed on the stock exchange and its shares traded on daily basis. He also hopes to establish a tourism school in collaboration with the Cuban government to train youths with interest in entertainment and tourism.
Said he "the new team of experts engaged by us have been charged with responsibilities of perfecting The Dome model of six first class entertainment centres in Nigeria, also within two years we want to be ready to go the stock exchange".
Nevertheless Okonkwo and his team recognise the fact that the planning for future starts with today, hence the repackaging of the The Dome Abuja. The Dome undoubtedly is the biggest entertainment centre in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The bigness of The Dome comes not only from its sheer size or the over one billion naira invested into it by its proprietor but the special place it has in the hearts of fun seekers in the capital city.
