Arusha — An American team of orthopedicians, surgeons, physicians, sociologists, nurses and some medical trainees is expected to visit Arusha next February and offer services at the Regional Hospital of Mount Meru, Saint Elizabeth Hospital and a private charitable dispensary of Upone.

The Arusha municipality medical officer in-charge who is also founder of Upone dispensary, Dr. Solomon Ole Logilunore said the experts are coming to Arusha on their own resources to offer free medical programs at the hospitals.

He said the doctors led by Dr. Kimberly Shriner, a physician from Huntington Memorial Hospital at Pasadena in California, will work and exchange experiences with local doctors on a wide range of diseases including cardiac problems.

The expert's tour is being organized by Upone Charitable Foundation (UCF) in collaboration with a local NGO, Philisimon Tanzania Project. The working tour will cover two weeks and the experts will start working on February 9.
