Unidentified men armed with cutlasses and firearms during the weekend struck the Chief Executive Officer of Flavors Blend Mini Mart and Boutique located at the interception of Warren Street and Camp Johnson Road.
Narrating her nightmare to the INQUIRER, Flavors Blend Mini Mart and Boutique CEO Malon Sackor said the entire saga started around 9:00pm last Friday night while she was closing her business center for the day.
Madam Sackor said in the process of locking the front door, two unidentified men well armed with firearm and cutlasses fearfully engaged her and made away with her hand bag.
Victim Sackor told the INQUIRER that the armed men struck her right arm with the back of the cutlass, something which made her helpless in the process.
According to her several valuables and huge some of money were in her hand bag including her two banks books. "My Ecobank and my Liberia Bank for Development and Investment (LBDI) bank books were all in the bag," she lamented.
The victim said minutes after the incident, she and her security guard contacted the nearby Police depot to file a formal complaint and to use the Police to pursue the robbers but the police 'unfortunately' replied that they were not armed and could not do anything absolutely to track the criminals.
She said the area is noted for high criminal activities and that there is a ghetto closed to her business center.
"We are living in fear these days and the police can not do anything about this ugly situation," she said.
"All I need back now are my important documents and I hope that the banks will take the necessary steps to have my account secure," she sadly concluded.
