Uganda: General Saleh Lets Out His Wish

Uganda's state minister for microfinance, Gen. Caleb Akandwanaho, aka Salim Saleh has let out his greatest wish. At the launch of the state of Uganda's and world population reports on November 12. 2008 at Hotel Africana in Kampala, the jovial brother to President Museveni painfully narrated how he suffers being referred to as minister in charge of Prosperity for All, popularly known as Bonna Bagaggawale.

I wish I was that minister, of Prosperity for All. I am really shocked to hear the director of the Population Secretariat refer to me as such. Prosperity for All is a broad policy, including increased production and productivity under NAADS of the ministry of agriculture and markets under the ministry of trade, infrastructure and other ministries. My role of microfinance is actually the smallest component of Bonna Bagaggawale." said Saleh.
