Asamoah Gyan's return from injury appears to be complete after he was named in the squad for Rennes 2-1 win over Monaco.
The Black Stars forward has been out of action with a severe thigh strain since August but was an unused substitute in the win that extended Rennes unbeaten run in the French League to twelve games.
The return of the 22-year old, with a goal every two games for Ghana, from injury will be good news for Milovan Rajevac whose bid to qualify Ghana for a second straight World Cup has been threatened consistently by injuries to key stars.
With fitness restored, Gyan, who has not played much for Rennes since his $12 million move to the French top flight from the Italian Serie A, is keen to prove he is worth the money and says the French League will see the best of him soon.
But achieving that will not be easy. Gyan must force his way into a side that has gone twelve games unbeaten with a strike force of Jimmy Briand and Mickael Pagis in good goal scoring form for them.
