Lagos — The Rights Motoring Group (RMG), a non-governmental organisation, has called for the replacement of sacked ministers with technocrats.

The co-ordinator of RMG, Mr. Olufemi Akinbule Aduwo, disclosed this to newsmen at the Murtala Mohammed Airport in Lagos, saying that only experience should count in the Yar'Adua's government.

He noted that some of the former ministers did not perform.

Aduwo called for an experienced person like Dr Rilwanu Lukeman to man the energy sector as he has been tested in that ministry without blemish.

"Dr Rilwanu Lukeman should be allowed to oversee either the energy ministry or the newly-created Niger Delta ministry.

This man has been tested for years and has proved to be equal to the task. We should learn to remove sentiments in the appointment of credible Nigerians to serve" said Aduwo.

He remarked that most of the ministers did not live up to the expectations of Nigerians since they were appointed describing them as dead woods.

Aduwo urged President Yar'Adua to show any minister who failed to deliver the way out as only that will compel others to work hard.
