Kaduna — Impressed with the availability of facilities and theorganisation of this year's hajj operations. Speaker, House of Representatives and National Amirul-Hajj, Hon.Dimeji Bankole, has declared Kaduna State the best in terms of readiness of facilities and organisation of its Hajj transit camp.

The Amirul-Hajj stated this in Kaduna shortly after inspecting facilities and readiness for the exercise, saying "I have been to eight out of the eleven designated Hajj transit camps across the federation.

This is the best by far. We may have to come back to the 'Centre of Learning' to show others how Hajj camps should be run. We will come out with a blueprint for hajj operations and hajj camps should be set up with Kaduna State as a reference point".

He said he looked forward to working with Kaduna State in Saudi Arabia and would do everything to provide the Kaduna zone with aircraft. He appealed to the intending pilgrims to brace up and be law-abiding while in the holy land.

The Speaker, who arrived Kaduna International Airport at 11 am, was received by the Deputy Governor, Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa, who stated that the state government had done much to ensure a standard and successful exercise. He thanked the Speaker for coming to see the state of preparation first hand.

Meanwhile, the Kaduna State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has assured intending pilgrims that the board was working round the clock to airlift pilgrims to the holy land without hitches.

Its Executive Secretary, Alhaji Abdullahi Mukhtar, stated that though there were some hitches and challenges, they should remain calm, adding that the board would communicate with them at the appropriate time.
