Kampala — THE 'early bird' registration exercise for Ugandans who want to attend next year's Uganda North American Association (UNAA) convention in Chicago has opened.
Henry Nsereko, the UNAA-Uganda Chapter board chairman, said under the 'early bird' programme, participants would pay $150 (sh285,000). This type of registration, he said, would go on until December 31.
"After December 31, the rates will change to $170 (about sh312,800) until March 2009 when we shall increase again to $250 (about sh460,000). "It is better to register now when the fee is still low and also to avoid the last hour rush," Nsereko said. He said the decision to start registration early was reached during the elections held at Atlanta, Georgia, last week.
He added that the registration for those intending to exhibit had also opened.
