Kampala — ORGANISERS of the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup have cleared Bugembe Stadium in Jinja to host matches in the east and central Africa soccer competition next month.
Secretary of the local organising committee Moses Magogo confirmed yesterday that after further inspection, Bugembe was added to Nakivubo and Namboole as the third stadium to host the regional competition.
"We are happy other matches will be played there as part of our plan to spread international competition to upcountry fans," Magogo said.
CECAFA secretary general Nicholas Musonye and London based officials of tournament sponsors GTV arrive in Kampala today to announce the fixtures.
+The chairman of the FUFA committee investigating Chief Executive Officer Charles Masembe has said that they will need more time to finalise their probe.
FUFA on October 22 interdicted Masembe for abuse of office and instituted a five man committee headed by Col Jackson 'Bell' Jackson to investigate him. They were originally set to present a report on November 23.
"People have been coming to testify but it has been slow. We will not present a half baked report," Tushabe said. The allegations against Masembe also included irregularly recommending Eddy Migadde for a British visa.
