Kampala — TRANSTEL has invested $80,000 (sh152m) in a new showroom on Jinja Road for Samsung products.

The showroom opening was also the launch of a month-long sales promotion where prizes like 22-inch LCD TVs, DVD players and phones are to be won.

The sales manager, Joseph Roque, said they were official representatives of Samsung in Uganda and he expected Transtel to get about 20% of this year's electronics Christmas purchases.

"This is a good place located in the middle of specialist electronic shops like Sony and LG," Roque said.
