A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the establishment of an Aviation College in Kwara State is to be signed today at Government House, Ilorin. A statement from Akintoba Fatigun, the S.A. Communication & Strategy said the MoU, which is expected to be signed between the Kwara State Government and Horizon Aviation Academy of Dubai would formally seal the document on the proposed International Aviation College to be established in the State Capital.
The ceremony would be jointly presided over by the State Governor, Dr Bukola Saraki and the President of Aviation Training and Consulting Institute, UAE, Mohammed Al-Zaabi. With the signing of the MoU, Kwara State would become the first in the country to commence public-private partnership in the Aviation industry. The college, which is expected to commence operations in May next year for the training of pilots, would be managed by Horizon Aviation Academy, a world class institute in Aviation.
