Angola: Economy, Finance Commission Meets With Social Partners Tuesday

Luanda — The Economy and Finance commission of the National Assembly (Angolan Parliament) Monday in Luanda invited the orders of engineers and architects for a meeting on Tuesday.

The meeting is part of the process of analysis, discussion and approval of the National Governing Plan and State Budget for 2009.

In a press release that reached Angop Monday, the commission has also invited, for the same purpose, economists, industrials and fiscals associations, members of the businesswomen association and the trade unions, Unta-CS, CG-Sila and unions federation.

Tuesday afternoon, the Commission will meet with the ministers of Industry, Transport, Public Works, Fisheries, Telecommunications and the Secretary of State for Water.

The Parliament last Friday approved the draft State Budget and the respective Financial Plan for 2009 with 158 votes in favour, none against and 27 abstentions.
