The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has stated that initial delay from the onset of airlift for pilgrimage is normal.
The NAHCON Chairman Muhammad Bello stated this yesterday, while briefing newsmen in his office, about the airlift operation.
He said that despite hitches so far recorded in some zones, the delay would not affect the exercise, saying, "The initial slow process of airlift is normal."
He therefore assured the intending pilgrims that things will definitely improve, and no pilgrim will be left stranded, "I will like to assure all intending pilgrims to this years' hajj that NAHCON has the support of the FG to ensure all registered pilgrims to Hajj this year are conveyed to the Holy land."
