Harare — "I am shocked and confused but happy to see people," these were the first words by Botswana's controversial Tawana Lebani who was evicted from the Big Brother Africa house on Sunday evening.
Lebani was unfortunate, as she did not know that she was up for eviction and only got to know a few minutes before she left the house.
With a face shocked into blackness and tears painted beneath her eyes, Lebani seemed to be confused as she did not expect Zimbabwe's housemate, Munyaradzi Chidzonga to nominate her as they seemed to get along well.
Malawi's Hazel Warren who was also up for eviction for the third time in a row was lucky again to survive as most countries voted Lebani out.
Lebani becomes the ninth housemate to be evicted from the house and the fifth female after Tanzania's Latoya Lyakurwa, Ghana's Mimi, Kenya's Sheila Kwamboka and Lucille Naobes.
This week, things will be done differently as there will be no nominations and the power now lies in the African voters' hands as they have the power to vote for the person who they want to win.
People can vote for Chidzonga by sending messages with his name to Econet number 15626. Zimbabweans can only vote using Econet numbers.
MultiChoice Zimbabwe Public Relations and Publicity Manager, Elizabeth Dziva has urged people to take note of the difference in voting as it is now being done in a different way.
"People should not make the mistake of sending the other housemates' names as they used to do when saving Munya from eviction. Now, people should do the opposite and send messages with Munya's name so that he wins," said Dziva.
Chidzonga is now drawing closer to winning the US$100 000 as there are only five days left in the house.
The other two who are also chasing the money and have made it for the grand finale, which will be held on Sunday evening, are Angola's Riccardo Venancio and Malawi's Warren.
