Nigeria: Adamawa Govt Donates Materials Worth N13 Million

Yola — The Adamawa State government has donated materials worth over N13 million Naira to seven skills acquisition centres for the physically challenged persons in the state.

The state Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Aishatu Sulaiman Zumo, announced this at the distribution of the donated materials to the skills acquisition centres, which was held at the Women Development Centre, Jimeta, Yola.

The seven centres are located in Mubi, Michika, Numan, Ganye, Guyuk, Gombi and Yola respectively.

The distribution of the materials was to enable the physically challenged to be self-reliant and to also be active in one thing or the other, reducing begging and loitering.

The state Commissioner for women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Aishatu Sulaiman Zumo, said the issue of disability is a collective responsibility that should involve everybody.

She said that the present administration of Governor Murtala Nyako, is ever ready to support the disabled by providing all the necessary facilities for their well being.
