Angola: Emília Piris Crowned Miss Bengo

Caxito — Emília Piris was elected Miss Bengo 2009 last weekend, in Caxito City, northern Bengo Province, at a gala attended by members of the government and guests.

The jury board, chaired by Virgílio Kivuvo, attributed the titles of first and second runners up to Maria Capitango and Judie Gonçalves, respectively.

Suraia Ludimila and Silva Cardoso were elected Miss Photogenic and Miss Friendly, respectively.

During the parade, candidates performed with three outfits, namely traditional garments, swimming suits and gala clothing.

Miss Bengo committee did not divulge the prizes.

The beauty contest was entertained by the singers Tino Silva, Manix and Bell do Samba.
