Sierra Leone: Stephanie Okereke to Storm Miss University

Freetown — Concord Times managing director has told a press briefing yesterday that celebrated Nigerian film star Stephanie Okereke would grace this year's Miss University as special guest of the event.

The contest, which is slated to take place on 29 November 2008 at the Miatta conference hall in Freetown, was sponsored by Zain mobile phone company. Entrance fee to the gig is Le 50,000.

Fidelis Adele said Okereke was a former beauty queen in her country adding that the celebrity was a role model.

"We have planned to roll a red carpet for her for those gracing the show to have a one-to-one interaction with her. Her fans will also have the opportunity to take photographers with her," Adele said.

He promised that this year's Miss University would be one of the best events ever organized by Concord Times, adding that beauty queens from Fourah Bay College, Institute of Public Administration and Management, Milton Margai College of Education and Technology, and Njala University would fight for supremacy.

Adele said the public would also vote for their favorite contestants through Zain network short code 434.
