Nigeria: New Executive Secretary for PTDF Appointed

Abuja — President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua on Tuesday November 18 approved the appointment of Engr. Mustapha Rabe Darma as the new Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund, PTDF.

Engr. Darma, until recently a Commissioner for Works, Housing and Transport, as well as Rural, Social Development, Women Affairs, Youth and Sports, in Katsina State, is an Engineering graduate of Bayero University, Kano and holds a Masters from the University of Benin. He has also held various positions in the private sector and academia.

A Press Statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Olusegun Adeniyi said the new PTDF Executive Secretary's tenure is for four years in the first instance.
