Abuja — Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC) is yet to quiz local government chairmen in Oyo State in its investigation into capital projects approved by the state government from 2006.

This is because the anti-graft agency is yet to complete its preliminary enquiry on the matter.

The commission had on November 11 launched an investigation into capital projects approved by the Oyo State Government from 2006 to date, an action which, it said, would cover projects approved by the government in eight local governments in the state.

Daily Independent gathered, however, that the anti-graft commission has already assigned investigators who will lead the investigation.

An ICPC source revealed on Tuesday that the team of investigators is presently in the state looking into the files of relevant ministries.

The team was expecting to find documents that will help in the investigation when it begins in earnest.
