Nigeria: Hassan Isah Emerges VC Kogi Varsity

Professor Hassan Isah, formerly of the Department of Chemical Pathology, Ahmadu Bello University (abu), Zaria has been appointed the new Vice Chancellor of Kogi State University, Anyingba.

Hassan who earned his Doctorate Degree in Chemical Pathology from ABU in 1983 took over from Professor Idachaba, who has completed his tenure.

Prof. Hassan is a seasoned academician who has spent three decades as a university don.

He attended the University of Ibadan between 1971 and 1975, University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom and the ABU, Zaria.

Born in 1952, he attended the Government Secondary School, now Abdulazeez Memorial College, Okene.

The new Vice chancellor is a chartered chemist and a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, UK as well as member of many other professional bodies.

He was a member of the Senate of ABU Zaria and played a role in the establishment of the Kogi State University as a member of many committees and board of the institution.

He has many publications to his credit and is married with children.
