Luanda — The political analyst, Belarmino Van-Dúnem, this Friday here stressed Angola's history, mainly the efforts made by Angolans in maintaining their territory integrity, achieving peace and consolidating democracy.
On an interview to ANGOP, Belarmino Van-Dúnem affirmed that Angola reached, during long years, "the peak of international prestige, as a sovereign and democratic state, due to its struggle for territory integrity and cooperation with other states, Africans in particular".
In his view, Angola has been proving to be an essential partner for the resolution of conflicts and for the political-military cooperation, mainly in the training of militaries and police officers, in the African continent.
"Taking into account what the country faced and the efforts for the achievement of peace and the consolidation of democracy, based on the socio-economic development, as well as on political stability already achieved, Angola became an ideal partner for countries of the continent", explained the analyst.
In his speech, Belarmino Van-Dúnem spoke of Angola's contribution for the political stability of African countries, such as Zimbabwe, Namibia and South Africa.
To the analyst, Angola is in a new phase in which major commitments of the government are focussed on the social, economic and political wellbeing of Angolans, as well as on the country's development.
