Angola: Minister Defends Culture Influence Study

Luanda — Angolan Culture minister, Rosa Cruz e Silva, Tuesday here said that the consequences of cultural flow issued by developed countries requires cultural agents to study seriously this dynamic with view to meet the demands of globalisation.

Rosa Cruz e Silva made these statements at the opening session of the workshop on the "Management and Administration of Cultural Industries and Cultural Instructions", held at the facilities of the "Angolan League of Friendship and Solidarity with Other Peoples (LAASP)".

She called for the holding of regular activities to upgrade technicians and officials, managers and cultural businesspeople and others, with view to respond to the current challenges, both nationwide and internationally.

Rosa Cruz e Silva informed that the event, which started this Tuesday, has an essential programme including aspects of the management and cultural administration fields that will endow the participants with precious knowledge for their everyday activity.

Promoted by the Culture Ministry, the two-day event is being lectured by António Fonseca, the director general of the National Book and Disc Institute (INALD), and by the National Director of the Authors' Rights, Pinto Baptista, among other entities.
