Angola: National Men' Team Gets Second Win at Dresden Olympiad

Luanda — Angola's national males chess team obtained their second victory in the Olympiad being held in Dresden, Germany, by beating Aruba by 4-0, in a 5th round match of the competition.

The first triumph of the national team, being coached by Francisco Brifell, was obtained in the second round against Madagascar also by 4-0.

In the females' category, Angola drew 2-2 against the Dominican Republic, for the 5th round, after a 4-0 win over Aruba in the previous round.

Angola is participating, in the males' category, with Adérito Pedro and Amorim Agnelo (international masters), Ediberto Domingos (national expert) and Luciano Oliveira.

In the ladies category, the country is being represented by Sónia Rosalina, Luzia Guimarães, Valquiria Rocha, Nelma Lopes and Fátima Reis.
