Kickoff (Cape Town)

Maritzburg United striker Fadlu Davids is hopeful of playing against Santos on Friday night, despite the fact that his nose is broken.
The former Vasco da Gama and Silver Stars striker's return to the side would be a welcome boost to the Team of Choice, who will be without their leading goal-scorer, the suspended Brice Aka, for the match in Cape Town.
Davids' availability to coach Gordon Igesund will depend on whether he can find suitable protection for his broken nose.
"I have been training since last Thursday. I had a protective mask made for me, but it did not fit properly. I'm now busy having another one constructed and hopefully it will fit correctly so that I can play against Santos if selected," he told KickOff.com .
Davids sustained his injury during a challenge with Free State Stars keeper Kennedy Mweene on October 25.
It is the second time in two seasons that Davids has suffered a broken nose, but he insists that this will not stop him from giving his all on the field of play.
"I can't change the way I play - if I need to put my head in where it hurts then so be it. I won't allow playing with a mask to hold me back, if there are any 50-50 challenges then I won't be pulling out," he said.
