Nigeria's U-20 Women's Team, Falconets are in great shape to pick up three points against opponents New Zealand, as the 4th FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup opens in the South American nation of Chile on Wednesday.
The Falconets open their campaign against the Young Ferns at the Coquimbo Stadium in the north of the country, where they will also take on England on Saturday, before their clash with hosts Chile in Temuco on Wednesday next week.
Barrister Musa Amadu, the NFF Deputy General Secretary who is coordinating the team's participation at the tournament, said on Tuesday afternoon: "The girls are in good shape. They have been training well since they arrived here from Brazil and look sharp in all departments.
"They are presently relaxing but they had a 45-minute training session at the match venue by 5pm Tuesday," said Amadu, who also hinted that the girls have talked about crossing the group stage hurdle first and then focusing on the trophy.
Nigeria take on New Zealand at 3pm Chile time on Wednesday, which is 19h00 in Nigeria.
