Luanda — Lecturers of the Agostinho Neto University (UAN) will benefit from masters and doctorate scholarships in France, following the signing on Tuesday, in Luanda, of a cooperation agreement between the institution and the French Embassy in Angola.
The five-year scholarships agreement (that can be renewed) was signed by UAN's principal, João Teta and by the ambassador of France to Angola, Francis Blondet.
At the occasion, UNA director for cooperation, Joao Ser'dio, said that the partnership mainly aims at increasing the level of post-graduate students and the teaching quality in the institution, mainly in fields of sciences, a sector with the least number of lecturers.
According to the diplomat, the accord establishes that an average of 15 students shall be sent to France, on an annual basis, to receive training on various fields, a number that may increase in accordance with the needs.
